Day Off!
If you did not read some of yesterday’s post, it is well worth it. Two flat tires and a very long day!
Today was a day of relaxation and we needed it! We ran a lot of errands. Danny and Ken ran to the bike store. There, they got the bikes tweaked and ready to go and much needed supplies like tools to change a flat tire!
We went to the Arizona Diamondbacks game vs. Chicago Cubs. What a beautiful stadium. One of my favorite parts of the day occurred on the way home. We were in a packed tram car right after the game. The tram is so full that every time you move, you bump into someone. A man asked Danny a question and about a minute later, Danny looks at me with a twinkle in his eye and says, “I’m going to tell them about our ride.” “Sure,” I said, not really understanding what he meant.
So Danny stands up from his seat and begins yelling to everyone who will listen about our trip. A man standing just in front of me, had a friend yesterday diagnosed with colon cancer. Danny handed out a couple of our cards. It was funny to see Danny just start yelling to about 50 people in our tram car about our trip. He certainly has a way of spreading his story!
We ate a terrific meal at Panda Express, came back to the hotel to do some laundry and get a great night sleep. We are going to be doing a lot of miles in the morning so we need our sleep.
Thank you to Diane Robinson of Hampton Inn. We really appreciate everything you and your staff have done for our trip.
