Danny – Take care of yourself, and get better! Drew & Greg will carry the torch for you while you recuperate. Leave it to Greg to get more donations by not wearing a shirt! You go, Greg – but don’t forget the sunscreen! Safe travels all.

We are so proud of you guys. Danny, Regardless of how many hospitals you go to, you wont find one as good as ours, you know that, right?!? I am glad that you went in to get treated for the pneumonia. Left untreated, that could be bad news. You are the most motivated, determined, head-strong, strong-willed…must I go on? I am sure you have heard all this before. Hang in there, you will be back on 2 wheels in no time! Drew, you are awesome! Love the website and the pics.
    Much love, Jennifer

    Danny,
You seem to be fond of hospitals. Is it the cute nurses? Well, I hope this is the last one.
You’re doing a GREAT job & we’re all very proud.

Now you can drive Ken crazy riding with him in the camper.

The Weiss gang is wishing you a speedy recovery!!!
Police escorts is truly the way to make time-
Jesse and Aaron were a bit jealous of the stop for lunch at sonic (we don’t have any near us, but they have seen the commercials for them). Jesse wants to know if you eat a lot at night after biking all those miles??? (I think he is angling for a way to eat more pizza).
Drew, I hope to meet you when we are in Iowa this summer.
    Love,Peace and Rainbows

    Dear Drew and Danny,

Great job, guys! I can’t imagine what you’ve been through already, and we are very proud of your efforts. The blog is so well-written, too — Drew, I love the part where folks thought you were Lance Armstrong (I can see it, except you are much nicer!). We just voted for your choice by NBC News and made our donation (better late than never, right?) Good health and weather to you!

Hey guys- Mrs. Brooks here- hope you had a good one today. It was very humid and rainy here today, hope you had some better weather where you are. Andy flew out of Omaha today for New Jersey and the USGA headquarters- part of his internship with the Nebraska golf association. Dave is interning with Hoffman’s orthopaedic group in the physical therapy area. Mark and I??? We’re busy with school as usual. A few rainouts today though. Thought of you yesterday on the stationery bike in the weight room. Not exactly the same. Keep it up and God’s blessings to all of you. Marta

Dear Drew and Danny- I had been thinking about you two and was told that you had some medical roadblocks but were now back on the trail. What a great achievement for you each day as you set out and finish. I cannot imagine seeing the countryside of the United States like I see the cornfields of Scott County when I do my 1 hr loop out Utica Ridge, over F-55 and back on Jersey Ridge. It must be magnified many times over. I keep all of you in my prayers each and every day. May God bless your efforts, strengthen you and uphold you to the end. Marta Brooks

Danny, Drew and Mr. Driver Man,
I talked to you you when you were in Corsicana having lunch at Whataburger. (I was the girl asking how to alleviate “sore bum” when riding). I’ve told quite a few people about your trip and feel honored to have had the chance to talk to you and find out about your travels. I hope you have many good miles and fair weather during your travels.

    Good Afternoon Drew and Danny,
Hope your ride is going well. You are inspiring me every day to get out there and ride the Bettendorf – Davenport bike paths! A small task compared to what you are doing! Your mom and I keep each other motivated to get riding after work or early weekend mornings. Of course, my early is a little later than Jackie’s.
How lucky you both are to be able to take this trip. We have read the articles in the Bettendorf News and your mom has shared some of your adventures too. Sitting here at my desk, I am so envious of your great bike ride.

Drew, I was so impressed to read about your ride in the Bettendorf News. What a cool thing you are doing! You are at such a great time in your life to be able to experience something like that. My mother always told us that travel and education were two things that no one can ever take away from you. You are doing both right now…learning so much as you take this journey! Way to go. Keep up the faith as you continue on! Many blessings to you and your traveling companion! Sincerely, Maureen Conrad

Danny & Drew (Ken too!)- WOW! Drew’s mom e-mailed all of the “Basketball Mom’s” to let us know what Drew was up to… what a journey! Know that we are praying for safety and success with this adventure and great purpose! One of my best friends just finished her last round of chemo for Burkets Lymphoma and is totally wiped out. Thank you for bringing attention to such a deadly disease!

May God’s richest blessings be on the three of you!

Good morning to Danny, Drew and Ken
Yesterday was such a great day and one that I will not soon forget. I missed the team in Dallas, but was able to catch up with them on Texas 22 outside of Hillsboro. It has been lots of years since I have seen Danny and there he was, after a little chasing around Hillsboro trying to find him. Like how could I have missed a bright yellow bike top!!! Every day should be filled with such joy and caring. You are all next to my heart and my best wishes for a safe and succesful journey to Charleston. Wonderful meeting Drew and Ken and hoping to see you all in June.

Lots of love to my heros.

Drew you need to take care of yourself! This is a long trip and a couple of down days will do you good. I talked to your mom today and told her I look forward everyday to my email from “Dannys Ride” and your blogs. At first I wasn’t too sure of what you would have to say but you have really become quite the story teller!!!!!!!!!!!! You will have such wonderful memories to share with your family. Take care Drew and you are in our thoughts daily!

Hey, Danny! “Cap’n Bill” wonders about the kind of steaks you guys ate. He says he hopes they had bones, ex. T-bone, because that would account for a good bit of the weight. Otherwise, he says you don’t need that much and save some for him! Well, it sounds delicious but kinda scary to me. How about beans and/or peanut butter for some of that protein? “Whatever”–take good care of yourselves and try to get some REST sometime, bubba John! Love ya, “Patsy”
